Diagnostic Tests & Sleep Studies in Gurugram

EEG • Video EEG • NCV/EMG • Evoked Potentials • PSG Sleep Study • Home Sleep Apnea Testing • MSLT • ECG

At Jain Healthcare Network, diagnostic testing is not treated as a standalone transaction. We use tests to answer specific clinical questions — seizures or spells, nerve pain, numbness, weakness, snoring, suspected sleep apnea, daytime sleepiness, insomnia, dizziness, and other brain–sleep–nerve concerns. Our goal is to connect the right test with the right clinical pathway, so patients move from symptoms to answers to follow-up care.

Brain & Seizure Testing

EEG

Brain activity test for seizures, spells, blackouts, and altered awareness. An EEG records the brain’s electrical activity and helps evaluate seizures, epilepsy, fainting-like episodes, staring spells, unexplained blackouts, and selected sleep-related or neurological symptoms.

Book EEG

Sleep-Deprived EEG

A more sensitive EEG option when routine EEG is not enough. A sleep-deprived EEG may be recommended when seizure suspicion remains high or when the doctor wants to increase the chance of capturing abnormal brain activity.

Book Sleep-Deprived EEG

Video EEG Monitoring

EEG with video recording for difficult-to-classify events. Video EEG can help evaluate recurrent spells, seizure-like episodes, staring events, unusual movements, or suspected PNES/FND by matching brain activity with what is happening physically.

Book Video EEG Monitoring

Nerve & Muscle Testing

NCV / Nerve Conduction Study

Nerve testing for numbness, tingling, burning feet, weakness, and nerve compression. NCV measures how well electrical signals travel through the nerves. It is commonly used for neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve entrapment, radiculopathy, and diabetic nerve symptoms.

Book NCV / Nerve Conduction Study

EMG

Muscle and nerve-root testing for weakness, nerve injury, and neuromuscular concerns. EMG evaluates electrical activity in muscles and is often combined with NCV when the doctor needs to assess nerve roots, muscle disease, motor neuron disease, or unexplained weakness.

Book EMG

Sleep Diagnostics

In-Lab Sleep Study / PSG

Overnight sleep testing for snoring, sleep apnea, insomnia with medical concerns, and non-refreshing sleep. A PSG records sleep, breathing, oxygen levels, body movements, heart rhythm, and other signals overnight. It is useful for suspected obstructive sleep apnea, complex insomnia, parasomnias, restless legs/limb movements, and unexplained daytime sleepiness.

Book In-Lab Sleep Study / PSG

Split-Night Sleep Study

Diagnosis and CPAP titration in one night, when clinically appropriate. A split-night study may be used when sleep apnea is clearly detected early in the night and there is enough time to start CPAP titration during the same study.

Book Split-Night Sleep Study

CPAP / BiPAP Titration Study

Finding the right pressure and mask support for sleep apnea treatment. A titration study helps identify comfortable and effective pressure settings for CPAP or BiPAP therapy, with mask fitting and monitoring.

Book CPAP / BiPAP Titration Study

Home Sleep Apnea Test / HSAT

Home-based sleep apnea testing for selected patients. HSAT is a portable test used mainly to evaluate suspected obstructive sleep apnea in appropriate patients. It is not a substitute for every type of sleep study and may not be suitable for complex cases.

Book Home Sleep Apnea Test / HSAT

MSLT

Daytime sleepiness testing for suspected narcolepsy or central hypersomnia. MSLT is performed after an overnight sleep study and measures how quickly a person falls asleep during scheduled daytime nap opportunities. It is used in selected cases of excessive daytime sleepiness.

Book MSLT

Evoked Potential Testing

Evoked Potentials

Testing nerve pathway responses from the eyes, ears, or limbs to the brain. Evoked potential tests measure how signals travel through specific sensory pathways and may be used in selected neurological evaluations.

Book Evoked Potentials

Basic Cardio-Screening

ECG

Basic heart rhythm screening available on-site. An ECG records the heart’s electrical activity and can support evaluation of palpitations, chest discomfort, fainting-like episodes, pre-procedure screening, and general medical assessment.

Book ECG

Not sure which test you need? Start with your symptom.

  • Seizures, spells, blackouts, staring episodes → EEG / Video EEG
  • Numbness, tingling, burning feet, nerve pain → NCV / EMG
  • Weakness, foot drop, radiating neck/back pain → NCV / EMG
  • Snoring, choking/gasping, witnessed apnea → PSG / HSAT
  • Daytime sleepiness, falling asleep unintentionally → PSG ± MSLT
  • Restless legs or kicking during sleep → PSG when clinically indicated
  • Palpitations, fainting-like episodes, basic screening → ECG ± physician evaluation

Note: The final test recommendation should be made after clinical evaluation. Some symptoms may require urgent hospital care rather than outpatient testing.

What happens before, during, and after testing

Before the test

Our team confirms the test type, appointment timing, preparation instructions, medications to discuss, and what to bring.

During the test

A trained team performs the study using standard recording methods. For sleep studies and video EEG, monitoring may continue for several hours or overnight depending on the test.

After the test

Reports are reviewed and interpreted, then connected back to your clinical plan. The goal is not just a report — it is a clear next step.

How to Prepare

  • For EEG: come with clean, dry hair; avoid oil/gel; discuss medications with the doctor; sleep instructions if sleep-deprived EEG is planned.
  • For NCV/EMG: wear loose clothing; avoid heavy lotions/oils; bring prior MRI/lab reports if available; tell the doctor if on blood thinners or if you have a pacemaker/implantable device.
  • For PSG: bring comfortable nightwear; avoid excess caffeine/alcohol; bring regular medications and CPAP if already using one; arrive on time for sensor setup.
  • For MSLT: usually performed after an overnight PSG; follow sleep schedule instructions; medication review is important.
